As for intersections. A buddy of mine was in a VW Van back in about 1988 or so. He was moving from one place to another. He had a snake in a fish tank that was almost killed, along with him. Couple guys in a big old car raced through a stop sign with the lights off.
They were asked what happened, and were smart (?) enought to say "We were messing around driving with no lights on"
When I was learning to drive my father really didn't take me out much. Day before my test we went driving in a stick shift BMW. I took a 35 MPH zone corner at about 47 MPH... got a little rubber burn. I had also driven once when I first got the permit. Probably a couple more times, but not much.
Now I am called "granny driver". I like to watch people pass me, and catch them at every signal on their way to their destinations. Driving fast won't get you anywhere quicker.... I'll be there 40 seconds.
I know we got off topic here, but I am having a good time telling some old stories and hope they help you younger guys when your out with friends.
