I suspect that mandolin graters are good for professional kitchens. In my own, I agree with you - although I noticed this weekend that my grater is getting dull and I need to buy a new one.
If your grater is getting dull, let her watch some Rodney Dangerfield sketches on YouTube; that oughta perk her up!

Mandolin graters. One going free! Used it once then returned to my ordinary grater and a big sharp knife with a steady hand.
I got one a couple of years ago. Never used. Keep meaning to throw it out.

Hmm .. I also got one of those smoothie bullet gadgets but I stopped using it as I prefer a hand blender and have returned to eating my greens un-pulverised.
