Actually, if you lay a series of strips laterally, (sticky side up) and then a series of strips longitudinally on top of them, (sticky side down) you will have a very effective rolling mat.

I suppose you could create some "accoutrements of the trade", if you will. Perhaps you could even wrap a joint in duct tape and it could give you the same hazy effect when you smoke it as dipping it in enbalming fluid.
