Things You Detest

Though I grasp the reality of its historical presence and appreciate the subtle behind the scenes

as well as center stage role it plays every day on planet earth, I have always detested evil...

both in principle and in all of its strategic invisibility and tactical subset human manifestations.

How about things you detest... What are a few of your firm renunciations and repudiations?

You detest evil? Good one. Let me try something similar (this is a shocker):

I detest the things I really hate.

I definitely detest Vagueness.

One manifestation of evil I detest is deception... especially clever

subterfuge, artful manipulation, assorted half truths and white lies.

Edit: Way down the list but my eyesbrows raise when laziness is in view.

I think on some levels, things just are. They are neither good nor evil.
Aren't good and evil in someways subjective?? One example: A man

brutally attacks another person. An onlooker gets involved, and saves the "victim" and beat up the assailant. On the suface we are inclined

to believe that the onlooker is a hero, and the attacker was a villian. Good and evil personified. Right?? Well what if, the attacker just

caught the "victim" molesting a child? Doesn't this seem to turn the tables on the situation?

Don't forget, when we gained the knowledge of good and evil, it lead to our fall. 😉

But yeah, I hate evil, well for a "Satan."

Nice thread Bobby. 🙂

Mostly I detest ill fitting underware. I mean it binds where a guy needs some room. 🙂

Intolerance - even my own.

(I am intolerant of people who chew with their mouths open. Drives me crazy. And slurping. I despise slurping.)

I detest threads that make me think of negative things.

Or nicknames that make me think about doing odd jobs at home in my leisure time. 😞

so Grampy detests evil. wow, no-one's ever done that before. how utterly original. of course, it would be too clear and simple to just say 'i detest evil'.

yet another banal thought and attempt at self-promotion. hey, there's something i detest.

I detest people taking potshots at Grampy just for the hell of it!

The theme here is "Things You Detest"

Not "Chance To Take a Potshot At Grampy"

I'm struggling to think of what I detest, all I can think of is paltry or trite mannerisms that affect me only because of my own strange idiosyncrasies. It's not even worth writing about it.

Me too, but only because they took all the good stuff. I mean how do you beat evil and child or animal beatings?
