A: I suppose so but one could perhaps be inclined to overthink it and the outcome of doing this might just be constant pretentiousness or self-promotion getting passed off as 'wisdom' or 'depth' or 'sincerity".

A: I am very often the most interesting conversationalist that people have ever met so much so that they just come out and say so when we part at the evening's end but I haven't been to plastic cups standing in the hall nine bowls of potato salad in the kitchen dimly lit cheap white wine music too loud party with boring tipsy life and souls lurching from room to room type parties for a decade or more and probably didn't stand out from the rest when I last did so I'd say no.

A: Used to care more than I do. But ~ now you've mentioned it ~ if it's on my cable then I might watch it with my younger son who is curious about sports he is unfamiliar with.

A: Vikings. Incredibly disturbing and violent - not something I would ever normally watch...and yet, somehow I got hooked 🙁
