People are using different openings and different defences and you always play the same thing. I've done the same myself for years, now practicing on another site with other openings.

You really can't play the same defence against every opening, I've learned that over the years. People do get on to your style of play as do mine very quickly.

The ones with higher ratings will take advantage of that knowing you have a weaker position on the board. The only way is to study openings which I use to do, but I'd sooner have fun with the game and just play.

People with higher ratings have studied the openings, middle game, and end game. So know it very well which how they get up to expert and master and grand master levels.

Just have fun with the game if you don't feel like studying it!
