I remember 12:34 and 56 seconds on 7/8/90. I was listening to News Radio 88 NY driving a trash truck to Fisherman's memorial. I guess that happened twice, and I caught the second one in the afternoon.

Well it looks like these once in a lifetime events occur quite often. 😛
What about 2106, 2206, 2306, 2406, 2506, etc....
It will happen in each of those years as well.... If that does not jive with you, how about 3006? 4006? Happens then too....
How about:
01:23:45 6/7/8901
And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here?
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Water dissolving...and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done?
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

You can't pick daisies, planet-destroyer ðŸ˜
Too bad our calendar is only relevant to the earth revolving around the sun and therefore repeats itself every year... The significance of the year digit is only related to the supposed birth of christ which has no relevance to nature, reality, time, or our existance. The Mayan calendar was the ONLY calendar ever developed which could have had any significance in regards to reality or nature or time (see theory of relativity)... it was a galactic calendar...

On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be:
01:02:03 04/05/06
It will never happen again.

...it [the mayan calendar] was a galactic calendar...
The long count is a mixed base-18/20 number representing the number of days since the start of the Mayan era. The first date is 13.0.0.0.0.
The Tzolkin calendar uses two weeks cycles with named and/or numbered days. If you use numbers the "week" is 13 days, and if you use names the "week" is 20 days. A specific number and name in unison will repeat itself after a 260-day cycle. The long date 13.0.0.0.0 corresponds to the Tzolkin day 4 (name: Ahau).
The Haab was the calendar used by civilians and corresponded to 365 days a year (just like the gregorian). Only they had 18 months of 20 days each, and then 5 extra days.

While the Mayan calendar (Haab) was slightly more accurate than the gregorian in defining the actual length of a year, you should really look to the middle-east, and specifically one of the persian calendars (Jalaali) for a truly remarkable precision when determining the length of the year. As I've understood it (from talking to iranians who knows a little about this), they know the exact minute when the new year begins. They celebrate it every year. Jalaali is probably the first calendar to have used solar rotations rather than lunar to determine the length of the year. It also is more accurate than both the gregorian and the mayan calendar (obviously).
The jalaali new year is on 21:st of March (gregorian), if I'm not mistaken.

Edit:
Although, I suspect what you meant by galactic calendar was the mayans alleged ability to track the rotations of not just Venus, but Mars and jupiter as well. It's believed that the mayans used the rotations of venus to establish when it's a good time to go to war and not. And even though they could follow the rotations of venus with a remarkable precision, it wasn't used as a calendar as such (and it certainly doesn't make for a "galactic" calendar).

Originally posted by stockenThe Mayan calendar is also said to actually be a galactic calendar, with the current rotation to end on the famous date in December, 2012. Others say it may more closely relate to the tilt of the earth and the procession of the equinoxes, but hey, I think either one is pretty good for an ancient civilization.
