If I'd won one or two more matches...I'd have reached the 1400 for the first time!
But I didn't, so I haven't and now I'm losing a lot again.
I tell you, it's like God handed me a sack of carrots and pulled it away before I opened them.
He's forever taunting me. Seriously he is.
He just keeps piling on the pressure. Dipping me, much like a mars bar in chip fat, in front of all things beautiful and then wheeling me away in the wheelchair of fate. Time after bloody time.
He's trying to make me snap. I know this for sure. He's taunting me, dangling nice juicy fruits before my very eyes...
Do you know what else he's doing? He keeps tempting me. Keeps tempting me with temptation like Michael Jackson tempts kids with sweeties.
Then it's a bar of mint chocolate. Still in the shop. Just waiting for me like a dog does its owner and calling out to me like the whore of damnation.
Then it's a beautiful woman. Just outside a shop. Just waiting for me like a bar of mint chocolate in a shop. Calling out to me like a chip shop from hell.
Then it's a nazi crossing the road in front of my car. Just waiting for me like hell waits for Republicans and calling out to me like the whore of a mint chocolate bar...
Then I trip. Or I stagger. But most certainly embarass myself like a Bush does a country.
Or it's not a nazi and the old grandma waves to me as she slides over my windscreen.
Or its maggots in my ice cream.
He just keeps tempting and abusing me. That's what this is all about! He just wants to snap me like Kit Kat. That's what he wants.

Do you find that you make better or worse moves when
you are drunk or stoned?
If you find that one condition yields better moves than
the other, perhaps when you get this close, you can avoid
making moves unless you are in the preferable condition.
What do you think?

I'm starting to think I just suck at chess, no plan just "oh that looks like a good move, I threaten a pawn" yada yada yada
Then, once every ten thousand centuries, I see something, a combination, perfectly clear and much to my delight, it works. It's like the gods have pulled a veil from my eyes, but as soon as it's done, they put it back on and laugh at my stumbling progress for the next ten thousand.
I wouldn't mind it so much if I never had another insight, I feel like Flowers for Algernon. *wah*😛
