I thought the 7 days of the week were named after gods or the sun/moon but apparently Saturday is not named after Saturn it is in effect nordi or Germanic for washingday.anyone heard of this?.

from old Nordic word "Laugrrrdagrrr" it was reduced to Lørdag-
