Of course, it's only natural.

As our young thread goes through puberty, it will certainly experience feelings it doesn't have words for yet. So I think it might be interested in today's Weird and Wonderful Word:

limerence

the initial exhilarating rush of falling in love; the state of being in love. This word was coined by Dorothy Tennov in a 1979 book titled Love and Limerence. Supposedly, psychologists have found that this state lasts for an average of three years.
Limerence is also the root word of "limeric". So when the limerence has worn off you get bitter and jaded and make up obcene poetry about the experience.

I seriously hope this thread finally dies before reaching puberty. The fact it's survived to anywhere near its first birthday is frightening enough.

I didn't know you were so cruel. :'( Anyway, the thread has reached puberty quite a while ago. Threads grow up faster than humans.

How old is it in thread years? Should it be moving out of home yet?

Thread years are just like human years, but threads usually reach puberty long before their first birthday. It can be a very long phase, though.

Most threads stay in their home forum for their entire life.

You *are* young. Are you not curious?

Not curious enough to venture out of the bathroom, it seems.

Nice to see you in here, I have missed you. How is the flopping going?

Practice makes perfect, as they say.

Nice to see you as well. I've always been here, but you just haven't know it.
