I would have thought the thread killing king would have to be:
RED NIGHT, I am amazed he was not on the original list.
His posts are usually one sentance insults that need 1 or 2 edits to get correct.
On reflection though he is so insulting or wrong someone has to continually correct the guy, so I guess often he is the next to last poster on a thread.
Basically he kills a thread with an irrelavent post that then needs correcting and then the thread ends.
With even more thought it can be actually quite a complement to be a 'thread killer' lets say you post an answer that is so sound and completely accurate, the post eliminates the need for any further posts because you have proposed a water tight answer to the threads question.
This often happens in the sports forum, were passions run high and once a little logic is posted in the thread you usually see Liverpool FC supporters stop posting when they get replys with more than one syllabal (as an example).
