this has come about because I lost my last 10 games of chess😠 well that's what my gold fish recons😕 so I eat him 😀

how the hell do you have that many games completed in 1.5 months as a non-sub? I barely keep that pace with my unlimited concurrent.

I think there is luck involved too. Sometimes, when I have made a move and not thought about it properly, it has turned out to be a good move by chance. Sometimes things evolve that I never expected. You could go so far as to go back to the monkeys with typewriters analogy. If an infinite amount of monkeys played an infinite number of games against a GM, eventually the GM would be beaten. So yes there is luck involved, even if it is a miniscule amount.
