This may be a stupid question, and may have already been brought up, but during the switch, don't New York and Chicago have the same time? I was driving to Milwaukee when I thought about this. Since NY is an hour ahead, but gets set back an hour at 2, they technically have the same time as Chicago or any central city. Are there any downsides to this lapse? Or does it not matter entirely?
