Time Outs in the Dune Tourney

I'm playing in the Dune tournament, round 2 started last week and one player was on vacation, so he won't even know the round has started until he returns. 7 days have passed so he can now be timed out. Guess how many people have taken the t/o?
Answer = 1
Guess whether that is the weakest or strongest player in the group
Answer = Strongest
He is an extremely good player, but is he a good sport?
Answer = ?

I guess the question here is ... did the person take the timeout? Or was the person on vacation automatically timed out by the tourney (tourneys are the only place where timeouts are automatic).

In every TOURNEY game, yes I guess he would.. depending on when they started, etc. I believe tourneys are set to automatically timeout two days after timebank.

Regardless, some players take timeouts as they come up, just to keep their games clean and to not have to deal with waiting.
