I'm currently playing against SPELLBOUND we are towards the end of
the middle game all even but i have the chance of going a piece up
and my opponent has offered a draw about 20 times i have been
polite and asked him/her to move but all i get is a draw offer, plus
abuse!Except for the 4 letter words(which do not affect me)i was called
a PAKI first of all i'm white and english so that "word" could not fit me!
SECONDLY I AM NOT RACIST THEREFORE I TAKE EXCEPTION TO THE
WORD MAYBE IF SOME PEOPLE WERE NOT SO XENOPHOBIC AND
RACIST THE WORLD MIGHT NOT BE SO FRACTURED!
I have a similar situation where a player is repeatedly offering a draw
in a game to avoid making a move and probably taking a loss in a
game where I am up a rook. A simple solution to this problem would
be to modify the system to so that an offer to draw can only be made
once during a given turn. I will email this suggestion to our benevolent
and fearless leaders, Chrismo & Russ.
Sorry to hear you this is happening to you. If it's any consolation, you
don't appear to be the only one it's happening to; talk to Incompetent
about his games!
It looks like the 'offer draw" option is getting abused here.
Can a person really keep asking for a draw again and again on the
SAME move? From what people are writing it sounds like that. If so, I
hope Chris and Russ can change it, that shouldn't be. Perhaps go
further and limit total number of draw offers in a game to,say, two per
side.
