I don't care how many games are going if it was 1025 active games, no one should be allowed to finish those games.

You wouldn't be so quick to allow myself or roma45 finish games for VESPIN, would you? It is plain and simple it is against the rules for anyone to take games over from anyone else, regardless of what the reason.
