I do like Gretzky, didn't he retire in 99? Or was that his number?
I prefer Yzerman actually over Gretzky, but he was an incredible player, and his jersey was 19!

Well they are both Canadians...I don't think Steve Y got the same status quo that Wayen got, but then neither did Mario Lemieux, and he was one of the greatest players especially beating someone one on one, in his younger years.

I am looking forward to the Olympics in Vancouver, it may be the last time we seen the professional hockey players play in it, or so the talk is anyways. I believe Steve Y is the head hauncho for that. Has the Coaches picked already. I am thinking the team will be young.

EDIT: Yes Waynes number was 99, it is now retired throughout the league
