In his novel, The Right Stuff, Wolfe argues that for every avocation/occupation there is a model.
For instance, the model for airplane pilots is Chuck Yeager.
Unfortunately, the model for RHP forum posters seems to be an overweight, mal-adjusted, misanthropic, venomous, childish, social misfit, named XanthosNZ.
Never cared for the original....like the imitators even less.

Just because some of the posters here are ignorant, right-wing, pro-life, moral finger-wagging bastards, doesn't mean that it's average.
I think the average RHP poster is witty, has a view (although not always my own, which basically means they're wrong, but you don't have to be right all the time) and is sexy in essence.
I'm thinking Kirskey or Darvley here...
