toothache problem, need advice...

throbbing in my head since last week. believe a loose filling, upper left, to be the cause. quarterly tune-up with the dentist still five weeks away. no way i can continue to function as long as this bad boy's still dancing circles within circles inside inside my mouth. already tried most all of the remedies mister gargle recommended including chomping on garlic cloves with sea salt; well steeped white tea bags as a compress; halls honey flavored cough drops; hard cider w/ a slug of apple cider vinegar and cheap brandy microwave warmed; sensodyne tp and original brown listerene; ice bag on the cheek (which, by the way, burns like the dickens) and a few other otc items i'm no longer able to remember. humorous side: one of will's lines came to mind... ha

2 or 3 more new threads might do the trick... you'll get a ban and you could go visit the dentist.

If your dentist isn't equipped to handle emergencies, it's time to find a new dentist.

Two methods I've found effective for toothache are dental anaesthetic (the stuff you rub on a baby's gums when it's teething) or cloves. Oil of cloves, or just place a clove close to the painful spot and let it sit there.

Inexpensive, too. Plan to grocery shop at Publix in the morning. I'll buy it. Thanks.

Bonjela's OK, but if you can, get Abbots Dental Anaesthetic or somesuch, it's the same stuff but stronger.

Still laughing, laughing so hard I might wake the neighbors. Maybe laughter is the best tonic after all. Thank you so very much.
