There have been a lot of Star Wars and Star Trek posts lately . A few too many for my tastes quite frankly . That's all good though , freedom of speech and all that .
Then while sitting down this morning to read some threads I may have passed by , what do I see ? People playing dress up for the opening of Star Wars ! Grown adults , who can vote , can drive , and (allegedly) reproduce . To my shame , some of them are fellow clan members .
I think something must be done . I'm proposing starting the Tough Love Posse . If we find you playing dress up in public , our job , our duty , will be to beat the crap out of you , pants you , give you a swirlie , anything to bring you to your senses . It's for your own good . You'll thank us later.

I agree, but the people who dress up for Star Wars premiers are nothing, when compared to the numerous and far more eccentric fanatics of Star Trek. Last night, I watched the movie "Trekkies" and was blown away by some of the insanity that was prevalent.
Having said that, I would like to note that I do enjoy watching an episode of Star Trek: TNG or one of the Holy Trilogy movies...but that doesn't fill me with the desire to dress up like a wookie, or to convert my apartment into the Starship Enterprise.
