Well, after that great performance by the boks on Saturday the TN looks like it could be a very close affair like last year again.
On the point of the weekends game:
2 weeks ago the boks played crap. We had no coherent plan or play, our forwards never got on top of their wallaby counterparts and our tactical kicking was awfull.
This week the boks were aggressive, our defence was awesome, our forwards totally dominated and our backline seemed to have had a crash course in running past opponents instead of just bashing into them.
The score of 33-20 is also very flattering to the wallabies. It should have been more like 40-8, but for 2 refereeing blunders that cost the boks 2 tries in the latter stages of the 2nd half.
If the boks can consitently perform like Saturday - no-one will beat us again. And that wasn't even our strongest team!
Life is good again...

Yeah, dreaming of another cup for the reigning champs!

Okay, the ABs are looking awesome at the moment given their crushing wins over the Lions, but the Tri-Nations is another ballgame and they've still got to come over here and win.
Clive Woodward made sure the Lions team had the worst selection policies, game plans and preperation of any Lions team ever. He was the biggest reason for their demise...
The AB are good, but not as good as those scores inicated.
We'll take them any day.

I think someone needs to pinch him.. it that fails slap him across the chops.... 🙂
Protea types and Lions have one thing in common.. they always want there own refs and their own tv cameramen in their huge tour parties.
ABs all the way...
Did you watch the game?
The kiwis should be worried, because when you come here in 2 weeks you're gonna get your asses handed to you.

I'm not going to be over-confident. Last week was only the Mandela Cup and the Tri-Nations starts on Saturday. But, bring it on. We are the reigning champs after all (if you need reminding). What did someone say? You never beat the All Blacks - just score more points. 😏

They always moan about the ref's and want there own.. it was Sir Clive who wanted his own TV crew and took ref moaning to new levels.
The Protea is their National Flower I could call the Boks daisies if you like but then you'll pick on the Kiwi and our fern 😉
It will be hard.. much harder than the pussycat lions but the ABs should have more discipline.. Go the All Blacks!!!
The depth of this current All Black squad is awesome.
It's easy to say "forget the Lions" now. Before the tour, even just before the first test, there was talk of a hard series. I guess if "hard series" was synonymous with "massacre", then those predictions would've panned out.
The All Blacks are the best team in the world right now, no question. The real question is whether New Zealand also have the second best team at the moment as well. It would be a near thing. Maybe we should play our B team just to keep the Tri Nations close, 😉.

You may win at home, but you will have to play your best, and the ABs will need to play pretty bad (although, I think they are capable of this at times). Also, didn't SA lose to Australia a couple of weeks ago? Looks like consistency isn't your team's strong point.
Anyway, I have to say, I'm pretty bored with the Tri-nations. Bring back the tours......
Originally posted by PullhardTotally gets my rec. I loved the long European tours. We get rugby'd out now.. I love the NPC it still means more to a lot of us that the pro scene.

I'm also fed up with the excuse that pops up regularly about "oh were keeping the powder dry for the World Cup that's what matters"..... bollocks every test should be do or die!
Originally posted by PullhardNo, it's not ridiculous. This was one of the top 3 games of rugby I saw this season. We overpowered and outplayed our opponents so far, they never looked like an International rugby team. Kinda like we looked 2 weeks ago...

We play great rugby at home, but we don't travel well - meaning we don't perform consistently. That's why I posted this: "If the boks can consitently perform like Saturday - no-one will beat us again."
Do you read? It means if we can duplicate our efforts again, we will do well - consistently
If we can do that overseas we're gonna hand your asses to you at "The House of Pain" or whatever other rugby grounds we play at over there...
