I've only seen the trailer, but I love the cinematography, low on the brightness, high on the contrast, gives it a certian ethereal feel. I hope the rest of the film is as nice on the eye even if the story is less palatable.

Haven't seen it yet, heard it's a decent film.

"Onse" Charlize...ha ha ha. First SA film to get an Oscar, ok?

I have the book on my shelf. Think I might read it.

Of course Benoni is a part of Global USA. Rian Malan says so & I for one believe him. Besides U and SA make USA, don't they?

He wrote a piece on it for Insig. He's currently launching his musical career from the Muizenberg promenade.

I had to read the novel by Athol Fugard at school, and it was horrible because we had no translation in french... And we weren't aware of the apartheid and all political stuff in South Africa... I did open the book, and it is still open, at the first page, 15 years after...
Sorry to the southafrican culture for this mistake...
But I've read Tolkien's works (he was born in South Africa too)

Oh well, you can watch the film now!

All those LOTR Oscars should be credited to South Africa, too...
