Twist endings

I'm really starting to hate plot twists in fiction: where you find out that what you thought you knew wasn't really real!!! Or this character was REALLY behind it all along!!!

Plot twists are overused, lazy ways to try spicing up a plot. Every film, TV show and even video game has a "twist".

I think since the "The 6th Sense" had that famous twist, there's been a boom in other shows trying to catch that same high; including the director of 6th Sense, who used so many absurd twists trying to recapture that films success, he became laughingstock.

The worst twist I've seen is from Squid Games, where a beloved character meets a tragic fate; only to later find out it never really happened, and that character was really behind everything going on. It retroactively ruins one of the best episodes I've ever seen in any show, just because they thought they were being really clever. The twist adds nothing to an otherwise mostly great series.

i wrote EVERY plot twist into every story including the "dammit, you're DEAD?"
plot twist in romeo and juliet that even had ole bill shaking his head and laughing at me
