Are any of you interested in a tournamnet on U-Chess? I have set a thread up on the forum on the site for people to sign up to, Russ has said he will give as much support as he can, and I am happy to run the thing. This will be open to all - not just pawn stars (they do not exist on Uchess at the mo)

As things stand the format the tournmant would take is open to suggestion, and to a great extent depends on the level of interest. It can be regional (i.e. Asia, Europe, North America, South America) it can be grouped, it can be paired. I really am open to suggestion.

The important fact is that it needs to be quick, most of us can not commit a specific amount of time on the internet at a set time, so maybe 15 min games (I need feedback on this)? Players would need to agree a time where both were available and book an appointment with each other to play. Maybe we could set a two week period in which games would need to be completed? I would need someway of confirming the results of the games.

Anyway, this is just a start. If you are interested go to uchess.com and sign up in the forum

I just went to sign up......

I am usually available to play Midnight GMT, for about 3 hours?

15 min games sound GREAT. I will use screen captures to show the winner. I am sure you know I can be trusted regardless!

I have help also if you need it... perhaps www.rhp15.com/UchessTourney (nothing there now... but I could post results etc?)

Hope it works out! Russ says ratings come soon! Great!

Hosting would be a greaqt help, first we need to see what form the beast takes! The proof of result is more a reflection on Uchess at the moment than you all as players.

I say ol' bean, steady on, what? All is rather rummy in the squirrel lover's globe of interest this belle journée and I feel that it's not putting too fine a point on the whole dashed thing to say that history does record that once riled I can break out into some pretty darn colourful language that doesn't beat about the (Australian) bush, what?

Now let's just leave Warnie out of this! Knocking a bloke about his weight problems; shame on you, Johan, shame, shame, shame. If we were all a little bit more like Warnie the world would be a better place (and perhaps another country could give us a run in the cricket!).

I'm afraid much of what cribs says is lost on me completely, especially when he uses those big words in the debates forum. If only he would talk a little more like Warnie.

remember to sign up if you are interested - I am looking to start things rolling in a week or so, it will be good to get as many players as possible.

Remember non RHP subscibers can play in this!!!
