Will it be cr@p again this year.
i think that alonso will have it in the bag early on and stay well ahead of the pack but there should be some action further back (hopefully)

We were saying that about Schumi not so long ago!
its a shame shumie is doing so bad this year (and last year too) would have been great to see them fight for the championship a bit more. so far it has just seemed like shumie has handed over the title and doesnt have the hunger for it any more. ๐

Schumi is in second place isn't he?
Alonso still quite a way ahead.
One of the best recent championships was when Schumi won by one point off Raikkonen at the last race.
If the races can't be close, at least the championship could be!
and yeah shumie is still in 2nd but if you do the math you can see that its very unlikely that he will even have a chance for the championship in just a few races time. he is already 25 points behind
there are only nine races left this year. so even if he keeps getting 1st place for the rest of the year and alonso keeps getting 2nd, then that will only gain him 18 points on alonso.
considering that alonso is still very likely to win at least one or two more races, i cant see how he can fail to win it this year. unless of course, the renault engine suddenly becomes unreliable (not effin likely)
anyway, im pi$$ed off because we (UK) usually get to see the qualifying live but because its the US GP we are not getting to see it live and have to wait till around midnight to see it. it was the same last week (canadian GP) and it annoys me. it means i have to make sure not to accidentally find out the results for a few hours. its not as easy as it sounds lol
[edit]i have just seen that there is an alternative schedule (depending on the world cup games i think) which means that it might be on live after all - wooohooo ๐๐๐๐
so far i have now seen three possible times for it:
6:00pm (live)
11:15pm
12:45am (sunday)
damn the world cup ๐ [/edit]
The latest talk is that the FIA, still not happy with the "race cars" going fast, might introduce a ruling that all tyres replaced, during a pitstop must be replaced with foam rubber or similar cuddly compound. Especially for the Indy GP, the FIA will have all cars tied together, (to stop further mutany!), with bungy cord! The cord will allow sling shoting of team's with no hope of an outright win, into the lead for a lap or two and points allocated for such. Hang on....starting to sound like Indy car racing! I know! why not just get on with the racing (much like Indy car) without the stupid FIA rule changes!
Haaaa...right, got that of my chest. GO FERRARI !!
well the qualifying was a bit of a surpise (for me at least) because alonso starting in 5th place and shumie in 1st ๐ฒ
it appears that the michelin tyres still suck around the last couple of banked corners (this is what caused there to be only 6 runners last year) so shumie should have this one in the bag and hopefully gain quite a few points back on alonso ๐
๐ although im still willing to bet that alonso is back at full speed next race and kicking a$$ once more ๐
