IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS AN INTEREST IN UFOS ?
BECAUSE FOR A LONG TIME NOW I'VE WONDERED WHY, WHEN THEY ARE REPORTED AS BEING SIGHTED, THERE ARE OFTEN ASSOCIATED REPORTS OF FLASHING LIGHTS,COLOURED LIGHTS ETC ETC.
SO WHY ON EARTH (NO PUN INTENDED) WOULD A UFO PRESUMABLY OF NON-TERRESTRIAL ORIGIN HAVE ANY REQUIREMENT FOR LIGHTS ?!!!

Interesting question though. But I guess people who report seeing UFO's will not do their credibilty any favours by reporting an absence of colours and flashing lights.

I'll give you a true tale of UFO sighting!
I was staying with friends in Crawley, near London. To be exact, if you draw a straight line from London to Crawley, Gatwick is 5 miles closer to London.
Crawley is a dump of a place. They do have a few good fish and chip shops though, and the Firkin pub near the railway station is reasonably amusing.
Coming to think about it, I don't really know if it's Crawley or Crawly.
Without the e sounds wrong, but adding an e makes the word longer and is really unfair considering much better places have much smaller names....however....
I was staying there and one evening the folk I was staying with (generally nice people; a mother who's been dying for the last 30 years and a son who basically looks after her while the rest of the kids have buggered off to use drugs) mentioned that the whole neighbourhood had seen UFO's one evening. Seemingly the everyone had stepped outside to see the lights of the UFO's and everyone thought the end of the world was near.
Being the sceptical commie atheist I am, I asked to be shown where the lights where. So, we all stepped outside (mother being pushed forward on her bed with tubes, breathing machines and medications) and I was pointed in the right direction.
The direction was Gatwick.
So, being that very same sceptical commie atheist I mentioned earlier (but not too much earlier) I said: "Isn't that where Gatwick is?"
"Yes" was basically the answer.
So, I pointed out that there was obviously no correlation between seeing lights in the sky and one of Europe's largest airports...
and equally obviously, I was obviously pointed out I was wrong.
Not only do UFOs usually have lights, they seem to like landing in the shade of the sun (i.e. night time). You'd think if only they landed in the day time they wouldn't need their landing lights or whatever they are.
And if they did travel billions of light years, why the hell in such a tiny ship with a few lights? And why didn't they stay? Most people only see the UFO once and never again... seems like a big waste of time to me.

just a theory..... maybe the ufos that we see are humans from the future having invented time travel. Travelling back they try their best not to be seen but even a little contact may change their future. Even the 'grey' aliens could be a highly evolved human being travelled back millions of years. thats why no one has had contact and thats why the people that say they have are brain washed after so they can't remember as much as they should, because this would compromise the time line for the aliens/humans involved.
i work air traffic control at an airfield in north carolina. we get noise complaints all the time for our jets flying too low. the other week i got a call from an older lady stating that she had just saw a UFO about 30 feet above her neighborhood. it was all i could do to keep from laughing. she was actually pretty scarred. she reported multi-color lights and a wierd buzzing sound. LOL she went on to say that it frightened her dog and he wouldnt come out from under the bed. perhaps her dog has been abducted before......
