The final decisions for our response is left up to the individual provinces/territories. Like most places in the world there are "hot spots" like Toronto and the surrounding areas, Montreal and their surroundings...you get the picture. I think what we need is for the Canadian government to say OK this is how it's going to be ...nationwide. In the mean time we plod on with a Helter-Skelter approach. Currently the numbers are (approx) 500,000 cases (400,000 recovered) and 14,000 deaths.

I believe Eastern Canada with our smaller population have faired out much better all the big number are out west and in Quebec and Ontario. We have seen an increase in cases since the Universities and Colleges started up back in early fall. We have many foreign exchange students. Some of them did not follow our 14 day quarantine rule or wearing masks.

I think the crack down here will do us some good. They are still allowing take out, which should help the small businesses that have been struggling all year. Someone said the other day if the Uk and U.S. can not stop this then we are all doomed, I disagree, I think it will take time and always be around at least in my lifetime.
