Here's the quote I've heard....

Alleged aircraft bombing plot would have caused 'mass murder on an unimaginable scale'

Apparently these guys were going to try and put bombs in their carry-on luggage and then blow the plane up. My question is, if they succeeded and blew up a couple of planes, and killed about 300 people per plane, at best isn't that about 1000 people?

How is that, "on an unimaginable scale"??

Maybe I'm missing details....

They haven't said how many planes it was supposed to be. Initial reports said about twenty and current reports say six but they are just guessing.

The quote came from the police commissioner i.e the police boss and I imagine he has a fair idea of what was planned but he isn't telling yet.

They have arrested twenty one people so far.

What i dont get is.. instead of aiming at airports why dont they target schools? much easier to get into and for the plan to work, and it will cause even more outrage and fear. i dont get it at all

American students are killing each other on the playground everyday. Doesn't that cause sufficient outrage and fear amongst the nation already?
