As the thread attracts more and more recs, there will eventually come a time when RHP members no longer have any time to play chess because their entire login time will be spent reccing.
This point in time is called the Rec Event Horizon (REH), and when reached, the whole chess side of RHP will collapse and the entire universe will be gradually compacted into one rec.
This one rec will be a circular construct approximately the diameter of a flea's eyeball and having the mass of a blue whale's spleen.
The latest research indicates that given the current exponential rate of rec attraction, the REH could be reached in the next 1.75 million years, and possibly as soon as next Wednesday.
The only possible hope for the universe is to divert all future recs to this post, which I am happy to sacrifice in the name of humanity.
At least I can take comfort from knowing that by giving its life to save the universe, this post will some day have a high school named after it.
