Ok, i'll cut a long strory short as i don't have much time. What is the correct course of action in this situation...
I know the girl who works in the off licence quite well, she gives me a discount, we're on first names terms, etc...
A few weeks ago i went in there and there was this other girl in there (who is best friends with first girl...) who was just helping out for the day. I'm chatting to them both for a while, think nothing of it. Next time i go in my friend tells me her mate fancies me (she's straight to the point this girl, i love her 🙂). Anyway, over the last few weeks she's been talking about her to me, we nearly met up (all of us) on a couple of occasions but it didn't quite happen.
Today, i got this girls number and, seeing as the whole thing has been going on for some weeks, figured i'd text her. That was about an hour ago and she just replied. Bear in mind that i really don't know this girl at all (i've literally spoken to her for like ten minutes), should i just bite the bullet and ask her out? I'd like to, but girls are funny like that, is it bad etiquette? Am i supposed to beat around the bush first or what? Advice please (and quickly, the iron is cooling by the minute...!!)

What have you got to lose, aside from your discount?

Then reply after this gap, but depending on the vibes your'e getting dont' ask her out at first - just chat. After a few days ask what plans she has at the weekend - that's your opening to (1) find out what she does for fun (2) find out when she's free.

nb. can I ask how old you are? And her? It makes a big difference. I guess as she's working in an offy she's 18+...

Good luck. So when are you going out with her? And what are you doing?
In Denmark it's normal to meet for coffee. It's easy to talk to the girl over coffee, it's cheap, and if you don't like her, you can just go after the coffee. And if it's near her that's even better.
