What exactly do you mean by "write protectable"? What do you want to use it for?

Probably. I heard of one with a finger-print reader that is completely locked and can only be used after you are finger-print authenticated.
I've never had, nor will I put, such sensitive files on a flash drive that I would need this type of security...

I've seen those too.
Most people seem to be trying to remove the write-protection, not get it.
I had one once - it's just another thing that can go wrong. Mine eventually locked me out. 🙁
