Congrats to the Longhorns and to the good people of the great state of Texas...they've waited a long time for this...
Yeah, it looked like Young's knee was down at the 11 before that first TD... but even if he was correctly called down, it'd be 1st and 10 at the 11, and USC wasn't stopping anybody at that time...
After a little sloppiness in the beginning, this turned out to be the all time classic that everyone was hoping for. Hard to live up to a full month's worth of hype, but this one certainly did.
Uncharacteristc mistake by Bush on the lateral, just got a little greedy , althought it was actually a pretty good shuffle, his teammate could have been off to the races had he been expecting the pitch, but unfortunately for USC, he was concentrating on finding someone to block.
And Young was unbelievable. Ranks way, way up there as far as individual performances in championship games.
Great, great game, and it was indeed worthy of the hype.

Texas certainly didn't help themselve with those missed kicks though 😛. Barely won the game. USC's done for now, Texas is the new king! With young returning next year I wouldn't be surprised if they win the championship again next year.
These past few games really show how important a quality kicker is. Penn St kicker is from my area. i saw him in a few high school games and he was nailing them from over 50 yards, he is really good. thats just a high pressure situation for a freshman
