Why did User 85743 get his paid subscription taken away and no refund? Is this a new way of getting a penalty for something?

His previous sub may have expired and he never renewed.
His account has not been terminated so I see no reason why a paid subscription would been returned, as this is one of the ways the site makes money.
Just because a user says something in their profile, does not make it true.
