If he has lots of 1/0 games then it's really his own fault as he must have known his holiday was coming when he started the games. Even 1/0 games will last a month. Also people have been known to abuse the system which tends to make us all less sympathetic.
I'm playing this guy whose vaction flag has been on for two days and already his rating has plummeted by 300 points!!

People want to win to progress in tourneys anmd also win for their clans so it's not unexpected. Tourneys also auto timeout.
