I live in Toronto, and I'm looking to be somewhere else during the first week of March, and I plan on heading somewhere warm with the girlfriend. Although I respect the woman's right to choose, Girls Gone Wild-central is not my first choice this particular vacation season, as I would have to spend more time explaining to the girlfriend why I "respect" toplessness "in principle" than I would experiencing it first- (and second-) hand.

Any suggestions?

I've had a great time the three times I stayed on the Dutch side of St.Martin.

Florida (Disney and Bush Gardens) was also a good time.

Acapulco was also a good time, but that was more than 25 years ago.

Cool, I'll have to check it out. A colleague here suggested Belize, and it seems pretty nice too.

Comic.con in San Fran...double ggayy...nice!

Truth be told, I do enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, and comics, and I hear San Fransisco is a beautiful city, but c'mon, did you even read my post? I'm going with the woman. What are we going to do at Comic.con besides punch John Stamos in the mouth?

you take her to coit tower and while she stands in awe of it for three days you go to the convention then send a cab for her as you are leaving town...simple.

if you want warm weather and not too expensive then go to san diego. lots to see in san diego and very nice climate. small geographic town so you could get by without a car pretty much. bus or walk or take the red trolley down to the border and look at the narcokingdom to the south on the international bridge.

if you've only got a week i wouldn't want to waste much time flying.

saying that if you want warm and don't want to go to the states you're looking at about 6 hours direct to central america, longer if you need a connecting flight and then whatever time it takes to get to where ever you're going on a bus.

flights look pretty cheap though, i did a search for toronto to mexico city return and it was only £200 but stopped in miami going their and in dallas on the way back. there is no direct flights to mexico from toronto according to expedia.

plus miami airport = hell

i would save the money and go on a 2 week vacation next year.

Pretty good idea. Great breakfast buffet across the street from your hotel if you can avoid being blown up just about now.

Vegas. Not particullarly warm in March, but, something for everyone (gambling, whores, good food, booze, great shows, etc...).

Edit: Oh, and drugs, lots of drugs...
