It really is that good. I think I pay $6.50 for a jar of Marmite at the grocery store.

Well, you use it pretty sparingly so a little jar can last quite awhile. Also, marmite is good for adding a certain umami or meaty richness to dishes that are otherwise vegetarian. Someone I know swears by adding marmite to her marinara. I use it when I make seitan. It's quite versatile.

About £2 for 250g in UK. Cheaper if you buy store's own brand.

Well worth it though ... lasts ages and is Deeeelicious!!

i think these jars are about 2 or 2.5 inches high, and about the same width. your $6.50 jar is 125 or 150 gram, or larger?
