I just got back from eating at a nice japenese steakhouse. It has hibachis and the like. Well, we sat around the hibachi with another family of four. A married couple and their two college-age kids. They were proffessional parking lot sweepers. I'm not quite sure what that is, but it doesn't sound like the ideal job.
Ok, when you order from the hibachi, you get some meat, rice, and vegetables. But all four members of the other family refused to have the vegetables and asked for more rice instead. This truly scared me, and got me to wondering whether they eat any vegetables at all! If they turn down a minimal serving of vegetables, cooked with butter over a hibachi, why would they eat any at all?
Now, I'll agree that vegetables are not my favorite, but I still eat them because I know they're healthy. They were my idea of a sick family. No vegetables... ever. This wouldn't have bothered me so much, except for the fact that they had passed this disgusting eating habit onto their children. It's one thing if two aging people want to eat only what tastes good and die at a relatively young age. But when you pass this onto your kids, the ones with a future in something besides proffessional parking lot sweeping, that's going too far. This kind of people shouldn't be allowed to have kids as they're just adding to America's problem of obesity.

Secondly, how do you know the children were deprived of eating veggies when they were younger? For all we know, they could've stopped eating them on their own. Yay? Nay?
What necessarily goes into your mouth, won't for the next man/woman. Or, did you not know that? If it doesn't affect your body...why harp on it?

The green are very good. You can even make danylion wine.
I remember being at a friend's house. She had a huge veggie garden. She had a little boy about 3 years old. he was out in the garden with his legs and arms wrapped aorund a broccoli and he was gnawing away at it. He looked like a huge caterpillar.
Veggies are so yummeh and things.
