A 'wijk' means a part of the town,something like neighbourhood. It usually has similar houses,which form the 'wijk'.That's the best I can explain it,maybe LIvingLegend or some other dutchman,or belgian,can do better.
Yes,'aan zee' means 'at the sea'.
But,I have no idea how to explain the pronounciation.
