Here's why I'll be supporting Italy on Sunday......
England lost their quarter final match against Portugal, who subsequently went on to lose to France.
England can no longer lay claim to being put out by the eventual winners. If France lose the final, Sven won't even be able to lay claim to being put out by the team who was put out by the winners. They'll be seperated from the champs by two tiers of shiteness.
If you recall, Italy were in Scotlands qualifying group. So in the event of an Italian victory, Scotland will be seperated by the World champions by only one tier of shiteness.
I think we're all agreed that one tier of shiteness is better than two tiers of shiteness.
So I want Italy to win, to prove to the world once and for all what I know in my heart to be true...
"Scotland are better than England, England just got a softer draw this time."

Furthermore, to say bollox to the Auld Alliance, one might think a little more to be necessary.
If Italy win.....
Last time Scotland played the World Champions, they drew 1-1
Last time England played the World Champions, they lost 2-1
(So ipso facto, infer what you wanto)
However, if the froggies nail it........

The last thing I'll say on the matter is Italy to win for the symmetry.
West Germany won the cup in Italy, seems only fair that Italy win it in Germany.

If France lose, England can retain a little more company in the list of pissy countries that can only lift the trophy when they host the comp.
That'll be nice for my fellow Britons won't it? 😉

2 The people are amazing
3 The women are gorgeous (completely unattainable however)
4 The language is like living poetry

7 Even basic cuisine is like a five star gourmet dinner
All this and more makes up for the fact that you need gold bars to afford to live here, they have next to no understanding of the concept of vegetarianism and like I said, the women are impossible to get anywhere with.
