For sure. But the mice in question are just staring into a VR goggle made for their size. That said it looks bigger than the mice and I saw a support tube going off so maybe it follows the mice around, or maybe the mice are on some kind of treadmill affair.

There you go, a plot for a sci fi story, more and more mice get addicted to VR and learned to hack the system and take over the planet🙂

I was thinking more along the lines of some AI-super-computer reprogramming the VR-goggles and sending the mice on 'secret missions' beyond human control.
