It keeps taking my friends away :'(
Last night a close friend (whom I had a bit of a crush on) told me he's moving away... most likely this weekend, and I might never even see him again :'(
And then in June one of my two closest friend is also moving away, to washington DC...
I feel all depressed now, can someone cheer me up or something? :'( :'(

It's all part of the military lifestyle. The bright side is that it makes you more independent and able to deal with the real world easier.

And in a few years he'll be up for a transfer again (maybe back to you 🙂 )

Yes but in a few years we'll both have moved on...
see, the problem is that he's just moving somewhere else in Germany. The bright side is that he might be able to visit sometimes. But because he's staying in Germany, it counts like he never moved in the first place... I think the average time for staying in one country is 3 years and then you can try to stay an extra 2 years, but 5 is the max.
Oh well... will see what happens... and in June, one of my 2 best friends is moving back to washington DC o go to college and then join the navy 😕

Attempt to cheer:

Why don't you make the best of it? Come out for a visit with your friend in June (time it to coincide with the Philly meet-up) and I'll give you a lift when I head up (it's just a two hour drive).

Is that "surrounding my friends"? I think it may be.

I thought it were "... and am constantly surrounded, my friends." He doesn't say whom he is surrounded by, but I suspect they are dressed in white.

War is a sad fact of life.I have nephews fighting in Iraq that are too young to drink beer legally.
Why dont we settle all things with chess???
Or maybe debates and voting?????
Nope we need a body count to validate political success or failure.
I just feel safer now that those WMD are gone from Iraq.
That was a close one.
