I've never seen that before, but the idea isn't all together that surprising in hindsight. Cell phones operate at a frequency very close to microwave ovens. In fact, I believe cell phones are in the "microwave" portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, whose thermal properties can induce heating in nearby objects. If you've ever been on a cell phone call for an extended period of time, you've probably experienced this phenomenon with your ear.
