In my more cynical moments, I wonder if anything can save or bring together the human race. One thing that would do it would be an invasion of '12 foot spiders' who eat only mammalian flesh.
What else? I wrote a novel about a planetoid, ie, Small Planet about the size of the moon that crashes into earth. The catch is that humanity has 100 years warning. My aim was to depict what the actions of ordinary people would be. It is in three parts. The first part depicts the fall of civilization. The second part is about the
reconsideration of human courage. The final part is about the triumph of human will.
Fantasy. In real life, i wonder if we have the courage.
What would you do if you learned that the earth would die on Jan 17, 2104?
