Weird Game!!!

In game (ID no. 119027) my dad has mate in one and the only ove
the opponent could do was move his pawn to the 8th row to queen.
Instead of allowing my dad to get the checkmate it said that the
game was a stalemate. What should happen and is there anyway to
change this??

Since I don't know who your dad is and have learned how to search for
a game by ID# (does anyone know how to do this) I can't help ya
there.

I would like to see the game though.

I looked at the game, and yes, there is a problem as far as I can
see. d8 promoting to queen (as the game indicates) is not stalemate.
Black should be able to give the mate!

ps Dave: you should check people's profile (who said that before) and
find that its a game played by johnj 🙂
