Joy Division - "Closer"

Can't wait for the new movie that's set to come out about Ian Curtis. And from what I have read, New Order is going to re-record some Joy Division tracks for it.

Nto sure if all of this will be any good. But I'd still like to see it.

Really? Who's playing Ian Curtis?

Have you seen 24 Hour Party People?

That I am not sure, I have Joy Dision on my friend's list on the space... And whoever runs their space posts bulletins about the new upcoming movie.

From www.iancurtis.org: Working title: Control. Synopsis: a feature about the late Ian Cutris, the engmatic lead singer of the legendary English post punk band Joy Division, spanning the last several years leading up to his suicide in 1980.

Cast:
Sam Riley will play Ian Curtis

Very good. It's a highly entertaining look at Factory Records and the pompous "dirty Manc" bonehead who ran it.

Whatever Tony Wilson's faults, I don't think "bonehead" is accurate. Plus, I think he's from Salford.

Not in the intellectual sense, no. I guess "plonker" would have been a better word choice.
