Glad you liked it, bud. I got a feeling you'll likely be the only one who listens to it. 😞

There very early stuff - City in Flames with Rock and Roll would be an example, was pretty metal. I saw them around 73 and they had 3 or 4 guitarists which I thought was cool back then. They were loud, especially compared to the headliner - Savoy Brown.

I've read several times on this and other threads where Iggy Pop - generally pointed to the Raw Power period - was the Godfather of punk.

Now, I love Iggy. I met him and he told me to F off. High moment for me. No kidding. And some of his music has early evident punk temes to it.

But, for my money, The prototype punk band of all time are the New York Dolls. We're talking early mid 70's and they epitimized, really, all of what punk was.

Another tale for the fire - I got to the front of the stage when the Dolls were playing. Johnny Thunder spit at me and tried to kick me in the head. Now top that for a magical moment!

Iggy stage-dived and hit my shoulder on his way to the ground. I think he was expecting us to catch him so he could surf. He look really surprised as he went past. At the beginning of the set he said 'At any given moment in my life I hate someone, and right now it's you'. I could swear he was pointing and looking directly at me.
