May I use this thread to - again - recommend Swedish writer Niklas Natt och Dag's first novel '1793', with the English subtitle 'The Wolf and the Watchman'?

“Wonderfully written. /…/ [Niklas Natt och Dag’s] detailed descriptions of locations and characters and his well-crafted story ensure that The Wolf and the Watchman takes the reader along on a journey that does not end till after the final scene has been read.”

Great news, I hope you will read it and like it. It is a journey in history, late 18th century Stockholm. Basically a story about crime, and much more.

He should have put a Wellington on when you were conceived.

Walking out in the fresh air for just one example! πŸ˜‰

I guess one could get reading in before they were going to sleep, especially the book worms. πŸ˜‰
