Winter in Madrid by CJ Sansom. good up to now. Bit like Sebastion Faulks novels of which Birdsong was excellent.

I am currently reading a book on the rise and fall of the third reich.
Very interesting to read since most (and myself included) know only the top of the iceberg.

And only 1400 pages...

I went round a friend's house for the first time earlier on this year, and he leant me that. I had to give it back to him a couple of months ago as I can't see myself getting round to reading such a hefty tome in the near future!

Current reading: The Monkey King (Timothy Mo), which he also leant me. I think I'll put that on hold while I read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time though, which I bought from a charity shop today.
