@ponderable saidin 1978 i enrolled in maryville college near st louis, mo
Seems there is some interest in that.
maryville had/has? a liberal arts program in a school that for years was exclusively a nursing college
i wanted to learn cinematography/photographic art/line drawing
i had this notion of being the guy behind the camera on the boom dolly framing the action shot of tom cruise kissing brad pitt right before they kill all the bad guys
what derailed my efforts was the ratio
there were 3.6 females to every male enrolled
i was 23 years of age, just out of the us navy, and i had urges
i did not succeed at college

@torunn saidI should add that I worked as a secretary at Volvo full-time and had two children, so those were busy times - and the best years of my life.
I had met a new man who was my partner for 12 years. I think at that time I bought a new condo to suit a bigger family. 🙂 I studied English at the university as evening student.
@the-gravedigger saidMaybe so - what was your disguise?
I think we met when I visited Stockholm to collect my prize.
@the-gravedigger saidAnd I remember thinking: why him and not me...?
I wasn't in disguise when we met. I was picking up the prize for Volvo employee of the decade.
