European biscuits are cookies. American biscuits are an awesome kind of bread that you eat practically straight from the oven.

edit: but vegetarians still wouldn't like it because of the gravy. Biscuits are also great with butter on them while they're still hot, or jam, or both.

You have obviously never had, personally I limit my intake of biscuits and gravy to once or twice a year at most. Gotta watch out for those arteries. If you visit the "south" of the U.S. anytime and are NOT a vegetarian, then you *should* try it. Just don't do any strenuous exercise immediately afterwards!

Ah, okay, that makes more sense.

I AM a vegetarian (well, sort of - I do eat fish and seafood), so I won't try it.

Yeah, it just isn't right to have it without the sausage and/or bacon grease in the gravy.

Or without the gravy. Although if reader is right and the bread is awesome, it might still be nice.

Oh, american biscuits are good. I prefer them with honey instead of butter or jelly, etc. (Of course, that is when having them without gravy)

Bisquits are also awesome with stews or fish chowders!

😉 I am very selective when it comes to things to have on bread.

This is something typical from my city. Whenever I go home I NEED to eat it at least once.

With biscuits, I'm telling you, honey is the way to go.
